Sad news. RIP Peter. A great man, he will be missed. He's up there along with other stock market legends. Condolences to his family and you as well, Steffen.

Steffen, thanks for your update. Also, I like the format ( some fondamentals + projections charts)

Best

Alex

I can not believe that we have lost Peter. His courage during the difficult medical procedures and treatments was exceptional . He always smiled and showed optimism . I wish to express my sincere condolences to his family and pray his soul to rest in peace.

Im saddened to learn of Peters passing, i really thought he would be around for a few decades more. I met him once and he had a good sense of humor, you could tell he made people feel good in his presence..

Hi Steffen, spx appeared to have pinned to 7666 for weeks. are there any indicator or ways to see when the market is pinned because of the mm hedging? the projections in normal days are great in predicting the next move, however we need ways to avoid the chopping session like these days and before earning reports before nvda for example. the market frozen before that and the projections do not function well. thanks

Hi Vincent. Is mm for market makers?

Hi Vincent. Is mm for market makers?

yes. they seemed to be gamma hedging and as a result the spx pin to a certain point for an extended period of time and that seems to be legal

Very sad. We lost an icon. Been following him off and on since the 1970's.

From what I know gamma hedging is a normal/necessary part of the mm business. There is some Fuss recently about GEX, but honestly I havent had the time to look into it myself in detail. I have a trader friend that dove into it after I told him about it. When I have the chance to chat to him I can share what he learned.

the key thing is to find those period where the hedge would cause the index to stall with no movement. those are the period the hurst cycle do not perform. curious if you know any tool that would be of helpful?
